This morning, Maimouna Sabaly, a Nutrition Without Borders collaborator, gave a presentation at the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya, aimed at third-year students of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, within the framework of the Community Nutrition subject.
During the session, two of the main projects developed by our organization in 2024 were presented. On the one hand, the work carried out in Basse (Gambia) by the Nutritional Recovery and Education Center (CREN) to combat childhood malnutrition was presented. On the other hand, the project carried out in Rufisque (Senegal), focused on food transformation by the women's group Reseau des Femmes Transformatrices du Rufisque Nord (RFTRN), was explained.
The day had a significant impact on the students, providing them with a direct view of the current realities of these countries in the global south. It also highlighted the importance of the work that Nutrición Sin Fronteras is carrying out in these projects, funded by the Government of the Canary Islands.
