We celebrate 20 years of Nutrition Without Borders in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
On June 19, 2025, at Casa África in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Nutrition Without Borders held a very moving event to mark the organization's 20th anniversary. Representatives from the Gobierno de Canarias, Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Federación Canaria de Municipios (FECAM), Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), and representatives from the Ministry of Health and the National Nutrition Agency (NaNA) of Gambia reaffirmed their commitment to the right to food. Special attention was paid to the excellent results of the Basse CREN (National Nutritional Research Center), a key resource in the fight against child malnutrition, with an exhibition illustrating the working partnerships between the Canary Islands and Gambia. Institutional speeches and participation in the panel discussion highlighted the importance of public, academic, and community collaboration, and testimonials demonstrated the tangible results of our projects.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the speakers, institutions, and organizations that collaborated, as well as to all the attendees who, with their presence, gave meaning and energy to this celebration. Your involvement and support are the driving force that drives us to continue working tirelessly for the right to food. Together, we strengthen NSF as a benchmark in community nutrition and international cooperation, and we give renewed impetus to our mission. Thank you very much for being part of this initiative and continuing to build alliances to create a new, more just and sustainable global food model.
