The mayor of Rufisque Nord visits the nutrition without borders center

Last Monday, October 13th, we welcomed Mr. Assane Kasse, mayor of Rufisque Nord (Senegal), to the offices of Nutrition Without Borders. During his visit, we were able to review the food processing and marketing project we have developed there with the women's group Réseau des Femmes Transformatrices de Rufisque Nord (RFTRN). This project has progressed very favorably, as we observed during our last visit.

At the same time, the mayor informed us of the good news that they had approved the purchase of products from the women's network so that the neighborhood schools can offer a free breakfast to all students. This initiative has a dual effect: on the one hand, it guarantees morning meals for students at school, and on the other, it contributes to the sustainability of the women's network.
