During the last period of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, we at Nutrición Sin Fronteras have signed new agreements with companies and entities that join the Comparteix el Menjar project.
These new agreements have been made between institutions that share a great commitment to combat food waste, and at the same time, to contribute to reducing food poverty. That is why agreements have been reached with important donors who are already providing us with surplus food. These new collaborations have begun with the Hotel Sofia and La Salle Bonanova , and the participation of companies that already supported us has also increased, such as Gastrofira with the collaboration of the Fira de Barcelona , especially active during periods such as the Mobile World Congress that will be held next week.
At the same time, we maintain a close collaboration with the Dr. Melchor Colet Foundation , the Hotel Princess Negresco , the Hotel Majestic , the Fundació Ausolan and Esteve , since all of them do not provide cooked food, but rather give us individually prepared food to be distributed to people who need it.
And we see every day that, unfortunately, the needs continue to grow, and in this sense, increasing donations has allowed us to meet the requests of new entities to which we can now deliver food regularly. That is why agreements have been signed with social entities such as the Associació de Solidaritat d'Ajuda Veïnal de Rubí , which serves people in vulnerable situations in the area, or the Fundació per l'Esport i l'Educació de Barcelona (FEEB) , which serves minors and young people who come from families in vulnerable situations, all of them referred by the corresponding social services. These new agreements serve to continue expanding the network of actors of Nutrición Sin Fronteras, which allows us to reach more and more people in very diverse situations.
In addition, in the last period we have signed a volunteer agreement with Fòrum Terapèutic , who provides us with people who participate with a commitment to solidarity by volunteering with the van to speed up the distribution of food.
