We participated in the Bio Week organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya

From 12 to 20 October, the XII Organic Week in Catalonia was held, organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The objective of Organic Week is to promote and make known organic production and food to the entire Catalan population. It also, and very especially, wants to make known the actors of the sector themselves, since many of the activities that appear in the program and in which you can participate during these days have been prepared and offered by the farmers and food companies themselves, as well as all those entities related to the sector that take advantage of this event to explain their work to the population.

This 2024 program is very extensive, including around 400 activities with informative and technical talks, product tastings, children's activities, activities to discover organic production and food while doing sports, guided tours of farms and other proposals aimed at making all interested people know firsthand what organic production and products are and what their particularities and benefits are.

In this context and aware that food waste is an important factor in climate change, which is already affecting us, Nutrició sense Fronteres has developed a cycle of three talks at the Casal Cívic i Comunitari Cornellà Riera, to raise awareness among citizens of the importance of a healthy and sustainable diet, both for the planet and for each person. It is worth highlighting the great interest they aroused and the large attendance, of more than 20 people on average per session, where participants were made aware of the need to take action both individually and collectively to reduce food waste.
