During the last quarter of 2024, the Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security Game, created by Nutrition Without Borders, has visited 22 schools in 17 towns in the province of Gerona. This initiative has been integrated into the “BOiSA” company's dining space with the aim of raising awareness among students about the importance of healthy and sustainable eating.
Due to the success of the pilot test, during the month of February the game will be expanded to 18 new educational centers in more than 12 towns, thus reaching a total of 40 schools.
The municipalities participating in this educational experience are: Begur, Pals, Esclanyà, La Bisbal del Empordà, Corçà, Vullpellac, Ullastret, Cruïlles, Sant Sadurní de l'Heura, la Pera, Palafrugell, Mont-ras, Verges, Albons, Bellcaire del Empordà, L'Estartit, Ullà, Girona, Quart, Fornells de la Selva, Cassà de la Selva, Flaçà, Celrà, Riells and Viabrea, Hostalric, Les Preses, Riudaura, Olot and Roses.
After this first stage, the project will continue to evolve with the aim of reaching more schools and continuing to educate future generations in the values of health, sustainability and food awareness.
