Last February, the Nutrition Without Borders team had the opportunity to give a talk on healthy eating at the “Escola Oberta de Càrtias”. This day was attended by 16 children between 8 and 12 years old, who followed the explanations and proposed dynamics with great interest.
During the session, we talked about the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, the benefits of the different food groups and how to make healthier choices in their daily lives. The aim was to provide tools and knowledge so that children can make informed decisions about their diet and understand how it influences their health and well-being.

To make learning more dynamic and entertaining, we ended the day with the Game for Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security, a tool created by Nutrition Without Borders that allows children to learn by playing. With this game, they were able to put into practice the knowledge acquired in a fun and participatory way. In addition, the fruit that the children ate for snack was provided by Nutrition Without Borders from the use of food surplus.
